Things teachers say ....

I just don't understand the point of teachers setting work that they won't even mark ?! Do they think that we are made of time and effort . Just yesterday i was up writing a English essay that was meant to be approximately 2,000 words up till 1 am in the morning , for the teacher to tell me the next day:
 " Well done , now you had a chance to practice your essay writing skills before the mocks. Do i want it ? NO it's just for your own reference :) "
Are you being serious ?! I don't understand these teachers so when you do the homework they are like
" (insert name) why have you not done your work , i'm not going to be siting your exam for you ,I've already got my degree" UGGHHH  i just hate it when teachers say it . Well maybe if you tell me which homework you will be marking i may just start attempting to do them , and most likely do them properly.

As you may have realized A level's suck  , don't be fooled.

You Know your arab when ....

Your mother calls you "Mom and your father calls you "dad" . 
You Find out the owner of the restaurant is Arab and ultimately think that your going to get free food - Hence why i love my pizza guy <3 
Your mom cooks a meal that lasts three days. - You know what i mean that big pot your mum has in the kitchen ...hmmm 
You have a gold necklace of your name written on it in Arabic - I mean who doesn't , though i did lose mine on the airplane :(
 Your favorite food is grape leaves , but you'll never have the guts to tell your english friends that you eat leaves for lunch .

Party like the 1920's

Think 1920's ! what's the first thing that comes to mind ? BINGO the PARTIES ! I means let alone the the formation of Jazz , votes for women and the fashion , who is going to forget the reckless dancing and drinking .

There was music from my neighbor’s house through the summer nights. In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars. At high tide in the afternoon I watched his guests diving from the tower of his raft, or taking the sun on the hot sand of his beach while his two motor-boats slit the waters of the Sound, drawing aquaplanes over cataracts of foam. On week-ends his Rolls-Royce became an omnibus, bearing parties to and from the city between nine in the morning and long past midnight, while his station wagon scampered like a brisk yellow bug to meet all trains.

To throw a party like Gatsby here's a few tips :

1) Free drinks is the number one most important thing ... put some ice and a lemon at the side and your good to go , old sport ! In the 1920's alcohol was prohibited , so remember to get the party going you need champagne(some “mock tails” for all of us under 21) ! - Good luck finding that old sport.

2) wear your red lipstick ,  black dress and 6 inch heels... Its the 1920's , it's all free spirited . YOLO 

3) invite lots of people who know nothing about you , but just want to have a good time . Hey at least the whole town is know talking about your parties 

4) Jazz music is a must - they didn't call it the jazz age for nothing . 

5)Don't forget to send the guests with something to remember e.g a black and white photograph of their time.

Well thats the end of it , im sure Gatsby himself would be proud !

Which is worse, failing or never trying?

In my opinion failing is better than never trying . Failure teachers us how to improve and makes us mature , whilst never trying gets us nowhere. Sometimes we give up before we even start to even attempt to reach our dreams because we are afraid of failure , but let me ask you something what would happen if we never tried ?
If we never tried technology would have never developed , think about Steve Jobs... I know you all love your iPhone's , well imagine if he never tried , we'd still be stuck with our brick phones :(
If we never try we will just be stuck thinking 'what if ' and be holding a grudge against ourselves because we didn't seize that opportunity .

SOAS UNI !!

Its october the 11th 2013 and im nervous as hell for tomorrow's SOAS university year 12's program that i have butterflies in my stomach already . Now don't get me wrong i'm excited for it , but no one that i know got accepted with me so i'm feeling a bit edgy. Its far and its taking up my saturday's that i could have actually used for revision ... being an A level student its hard to find any spare time ! *sighs* Its a never ending cycle of work (i miss GCSE) . Best bit is ---- I DONT KNOW HOW TO GET THERE (omgggggg!!!!)

Broadway was a type of entertainment . 

It is said that the Roaring Twenties were labelled so due to its outlandish traits of recklessness, irresponsibility, and materialist ideas, and that these traits sparked the change of many storylines of productions. People no longer wrote about old traditional stories, they were now full of degenerate ideas such as greed, lust, incest . 

During the Twenties all the rules of writing were rebelled against and so they started to write more freely . Some of the famous authors of the 1920's were : F. scott Fitzgerald , T.S.Elliot , William Faulker and many more .

Moving Forward

Seriously get a grip !

Im sorry but im this mood where i just hate guys soooo much that if i see one nearby i will batter them with a baseball bat . No offence if you are a guy , but your not on my best person list recently . Its funny how friends drastically change when they meet guys , suddenly they want to be a different person . Dammmm girlll have your own personality . ok so here goes my list :

1. All men are such hypocrites! If you're their friend they'll tell you that you need to find a real man and stop falling for such assholes. But when you fall for them they'll break your heart just like the rest.
2. The word love isn’t in their vocabulary, only lust
3. I love you means I want sex
4.They all want to be player hunny if you aint born one dont be one . 
5.They call girl's bitches ( booo if you call me a bitch you are gonna be getting the same thing that happened to the guy in year 9 who attempted to call me that .. and he's still suffering ) 
6 . The nice ones are gay ... oh you think he's an actual nice guy nope hun he's secretly gay ( no offense to gays whatsoever ) 
7. sorry isn't  a word for them its more of a bad word that should never be said unless someone is dying ... really reallly its only 5 letters is that sooo harrrd . 
8 . They just cant be satisfied with having one female (their mother ) 
9 . They think they are the best .... WRONNNG!!! i am  though :) 
10 . Think they could get anything they want (i dont think we've meet im Mina and i pretty much get my way one way or another , ask my friends )

Now i mean no offense whatsoever but you guys just make me sick sometimes , if all you want is sex and a good time .. ill find you a stripper really i will , but just stop meddling with girls who are so stupid enough  to fall for you , just because well they wanted to feel "special" . Oh dont take the piss only your mom and dad think your "special" and thats the furthest it will get .

I find them HOT ?!

Call me crazy , but i find people who smoke rather attractive , not all of them SOME . I mean half the population smokes and they obviously think its attractive or they wouldn't have started smoking in the first place . And say it wasn't attractive , what drove people to start smoking , it's not like it benefits you in any shape or form , unless you want an early death or may i say slow painful death of being yellow teethed , bad breathed and suffering from lung cancer ? Are we being brainwashed by the media  to think that it makes you attractive . I cant stand the smell of it , but GIF's just make it look attractive :p

 

Weird obsession .. red lips ???

 I dont know whats wrong with me , but i have this weird obsession with red lipstick . AWKWARD right ?
Wearing lipstick is like wearing heels , it either suits you or it doesn't , for me it like another extension to my personality . Lipstick shows elegance and  confidence ... well red is a powerful colour you have to be confident enough to wear it . Wearing red lipstick can be dangerous , but with a few of my tips i'll teach you how you can wear them without wearing away their effect .

1. If you want to look classy like coco-channel , red lipstick is enough ... JUST RED LIPSTICK GIRL  ... now i know what your all saying" WHHAAATTT BUT I NEED TO COVER UPP "  but too much makeup with red lipstick can pretty much make you look like a birthday cake and you don't want that do you ? well unless your going to want to be employed as a clown . So keep it sweet and simple . No one is going to spot your blemishes if you've got that bright red luscious lipstick on,  that distracts everyone . *licks lips*
2. its important to find the right shade of red lipstick . My favorite one is Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon because i love the texture and the bright red blood like colour  , not only that its sexy glamorous and sophisticated . 3 in 1 BINGO !
3. Forget the lips liner,  that just restricts you , you want to be flirtatious not house bound and it just feels so crusty . 
4. Make sure you don't get any on your teeth .. i remember having a college meeting with this women and i was so distracted by the red smudge of lipstick on her teeth that i couldn't remember her name after the interview so i called her "the lady that had lipstick teeth " . Great way to be remembered , right? 

Lets slap on some SEXY , GLAMOUR and SOPHISTICATION ! 

Heads over heels !

Today i went out a brought a few heels for sixth form and i thought id share them with you . Now if your fairly new to heels or you are going to be running around for a long period of time i recommend you getting wedges because they should do the trick .
Personally i think that wedges are better then high heels because , they are more comfortable . By that i mean you can run in them without actually feeling like you are going to collapse and cry because you are not going to be able to catch that bus . they have a great platform which means its easier to balance   . AND IT DOESN'T GET STUCK IN THE CRACKS ON THE ROAD .... WAIT IS THAT JUST ME ? OPPS . Also They make you feel tall without you falling all over the place with your 5 inch platforms heels . So i'd say Wedges are a girls best friend . Don't forget picking the right type of shoe for an outfit is the most fundamental thing . Shoes can change you life ... like it did for Cinderella (now that's another story that must be told ;) )

So what do you think about wedges ? HOT or NOT ?

Black wedges for every occasion . Brought these today and i just adore them . Wear them with every outfit and guess what they make you feel sooo much taller ! This is a MUST HAVE . 

Want to look tall , but your going on a long trip which requires walking , this is the perfect wedge , not only are the comfortable , but you can look tall and stylish too <3 

                                                       

My life in heels .

Now being short , heels are a big thing for me ... lets just say they transformed my life ! After being introduced to heels during the time i was trying to put together a prom outfit , I think i  feel in love . My first pair of heels were beige ones from Primark and they were around 3 inches but i adored them . I danced all night with them and whilst all the other girls where taking their heels off i just couldn't bare to see them off my feet . I would advice you if its the first time wearing heels , that you should walk around the house with them so that you get comfortable with them and don't end up with bloody feet . Have fun being tall because i know how being short sucks !
